The Tunisian company was planning a "significant technical update to its current production line" and approached Saip to develop a dispensing unit that Saip said was to play a key role for the output quality of the upgraded system. Although Saip did not supply the whole line, the Italian polyurethane machinery maker said it was able to design a tailored solution for the customer.
"Saip's proposal involved designing, producing and installing - without interfering with the actual sandwich panel production line - an innovative and highly effective primer distributing machine. Simplifying the essence of our solution, we can say that our primer dispensing machine allows the line to homogeneously apply the polyurethane system on the metal surface, avoiding any dispersion in the air," said Federico de Santi, Saip commercial manager.
In a separate announcement, Saip said it has supported a Lithuanian customer in the production and commercialisation of top-line refrigeration equipment insulated with polyurethane. Saip said its support has allowed this customer to rapidly perfect its technical capabilities with PU.
"The smart solution developed for this customer in Lithuania is a perfect demonstration of how Saip works: by combining our technological competence and knowledge of the industry with customer proximity and sense of urgency to maintain and accelerate its speed of growth," de Santi noted.
