Burgos, Spain – Automotive interiors company Grupo Antolin generated sales of EUR 2.1bn in the first half of 2021. This is up 36.3% on the same period last year.
Adjusted EBITDA across the business rose by 224% to EUR 171m in the first half of 2021.
Antolin said that the numbers would have been better but for the impact on the global industry by the shortage in semiconductors and the rising prices of various raw materials.
Compared to 2020, sales in Europe were up by 52% at EUR 1.1bn, North America by 17% to EUR 659m and Asia by 52% at 271m. Sales into Mercosur and Africa also grew. In South America sales were EUR 25.7m, and in Africa EUR 38.6m.
The company said it expects car sales to pick up in the second quarter, along with operating margins.
The company said it has a goal of reducing CO2 emissions by 30% by 2028 and to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040
