Kettering, UK - Footwear and furniture research group SATRA is expanding efforts to reduce environmental impact by appointing Mark Buckley to the newly created role of Health, Safety and Environmental Manager at SATRA's Technology Centre in Northamptonshire, UK.
Buckley, a member of the Institute of Environmental Managers and Auditors (IEMA), has industrial experience of working with companies to comply with relevant legislation, use energy efficiently and control environmental impacts more effectively, a company statement said. SATRA will be able to reduce its carbon footprint, energy use and CO2 emissions when Buckley implements Health and Safety System ISO 18001 and Environmental Management System ISO 14001, the statement said.
"As well as helping its members to reduce the environmental impacts of their operations, SATRA is also working hard to reduce its own carbon footprint," said Buckley. (RD)
