Elmwood Park, New Jersey --Foam packaging solution provider Sealed Air has unveiled a new polyurethane system which produces a foam-in-bag cushion in less than 20 seconds.
Designated Instapak Simple, the system does not require manual mixing, individual bag loading, heated hoses, pumps or external controls and containers. It also, according to the company’s press release, aligns foam with the centre of the bag to ensure consistency.
Sealed Air’s business manager Tanya Paterno said the system demonstrates the company’s “commitment to continuous and purposeful innovation.”
The foam-in-bag system is lightweight, easy to install, transportable and requires minimal maintenance, making it ideal for production schedules of less than 25 packs a day, said the press release.
Additionally, the compact component containers may be recycled with HDPE plastics.
