Trinity, North Carolina - Mattress maker Sealy has introduced gel memory foam to its innerspring Posturepedic line. Consumers now have the option to add a cooling layer of gel memory foam to the supportive Posturepedic mattress at a competitive starting price, Sealy said in a 30 Jan news release.
"We are committed to offering consumers a variety of products that support everything you do in bed," said Jodi Allen, chief marketing officer, Sealy. "The addition of gel memory foam to the most supportive mattress available helps cool you down when things get hot."
OptiCool polyurethane gel memory foam is fused with Outlast material, which is more effective for removing excess heat during the night, Sealy said. This means "consumers who tend to sleep hot can experience a refreshing coolness combined with the support" that they can expect from Sealy's mattresses, according to the announcement.
