Helsinki - The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) is reminding businesses that the second REACH deadline, for the registration of phase-in substances manufactured or imported in the range of 100 to 1000 tonnes per year, is 31 May 2013.
ECHA also advised lead registrants to submit their registration dossiers before 31 March. The agency said this means registrants will receive the results of the completeness check sooner, as ECHA must perform this check within three weeks of submission for registrations received before 31March.
Secondly, submitting the lead dossier well in advance of the May deadline will allow the participants of the joint submission to file their dossiers on time. ECHA reminded registrants that members can only submit their dossiers once the lead dossier has been accepted.
The agency said it is committed to supporting registrants through the process, with a network of 30 national help desks and online support.
