New York -- Sentina Inc., a New York-based producer of protective cargo coverings, has been awarded a US patent for its polyurethane-coated, reusable, vacuum-sealable covering.
The US Patent and Trademark Office awarded the patent for the tamper-evident covering that Sentina says is its flagship product. The covering is made using a durable nylon fabric with a thick polyurethane coating, and can be used multiple times.
"Corporations worldwide are continually looking for ways to insure the integrity of their goods in transit, while also attempting to reduce the overall costs, and harmful waste, associated with one-time use packagings. Sentina coverings meet these needs," commented Jeff Garfinkle, president of Sentina Inc.
Sentina said its one-piece coverings are designed to meet government standards regarding safe, secure cargo, and New York-based company claims there is currently nothing else on the market that offers the same benefits.
