New Delhi – Sheela Foam is donating 500 quick-assembly beds with PU foam mattresses to the Sadar Patel Covid Care Centre, India's largest coronavirus facility.
The company’s managing director, Rahul Gautam, said, 'We have been committed in ensuring that every coronavirus patient receives a safe and hygienic bed to recover.'
Currently, 200 beds have been installed at the hospital, and the remaining 300 will be deployed as they are needed. The beds are made of recycled corrugated hardboard, and can be assembled in less than 5 minutes. They are water-resistant, sanitisable, light weight and portable. The Envirobed is designed to carry people who weigh up to 250kg (550 lbs). It has a backrest for patients who need oxygen.
