Baar, Switzerland-Building products manufacturer Sika AG has announced a reorganisation that will see a merger of its Middle Eastern, Indian and east African operations into a new corporate region.
The reorganisation will also see Sika's construction division, which accounts for 75 percent of total group sales, split into three customer-driven units-concrete manufacturers, contractors and distributors.
Many of the firm's products are polyurethane-based, particularly those used in its elastic sealants and adhesives, structural adhesives and acoustic products businesses.
Alexander Bleibler, formerly head of the construction division, will manage the new contractors unit, Ernesto Schumperli, formerly Switzerland general manager, will head the concrete manufacturers unit while distribution head Christoph Ganz will remain in his post.
The head of the new Middle East, India and east Africa geographical division has not been announced.
