Madison Heights, Michigan - Sealant supplier, Sika Corp. has introduced its MultiSeal Plus product, calling it "a leak's worst nightmare."
The producer of speciality chemicals and industrial materials said in a 7 April statement that the MultiSeal Plus is a self-adhering, high performance tape designed to withstand hot sun, dry heat and heavy rain. The sealant features an advanced copolymer elastometric mastic layer combined with a flexible, tear-proof, UV resistant membrane to create a permanent, watertight seal.
"We are tremendously excited about the introduction of this new high performance, technically advanced tape," said Scott Henry, senior vice president, Sika Industry. "It continues Sika's strong commitment to bring new sealing technologies to the market that meet the standards of innovation customers have come to expect from Sika products."
The tape can be used in both manufacturing assembly and field installation, the Michigan-based subsidiary of Swiss group Sika said. The range of uses covers transport roofing surfaces, to window and door installations, to heating and air conditioning uses.
