Baar, Switzerland - Sika Corp., the US subsidiary of Sika AG, has announced the acquisition of the commercial and industrial polymer flooring company, ICS Garland, Inc. In 2007, revenues for ICS Garland were about $14 million.
ICS Garland is well-known in the North American industrial flooring business, with a strong portfolio of polyurethane technology products amongst its range of products, said Sika's 30th April announcement. The acquisition of ICS Garland "reflects Sika's progress in this key market, giving it the most extensive range of polyurethane and other key polymer flooring products and technologies in the industry," the company added.
About 45 employees are expected to join Sika as part of the move.
Sika's takeover of ICS Garland follows its acquisition of the US flooring business Valspar Corp. in January of this year. RD
