Birmingham, UK – Direct-to-consumer mattress company Simba is considering supplying a number of international hotel chains, according to Des Hancox business manager at the firm.
Hotels are interested in the product, he said and ‘want to talk in the Simba language.’ Hancox said his firm had received interest from a number of international chains and boutique hotels.
The company claims 4% of the total UK mattress market and to be the largest supplier mattress-in-a-box player in France and the UK. ‘Business [at the show] is lively and we had four or five high quality leads,’ Hancox added.
Hancox was speaking at the January Furniture Show 21-24 January at the National Exhibition Centre, near Birmingham.
He said that business for Simba had been good over the course of 2017, and on ‘Black Friday we sold out for three weeks overnight. Our main challenge,’ he added, ‘is supplying the demand.’ Simba has factories in the UK and Poland, he added.
