London – Skechers has released a new football boot – a Player Edition boot honouring striker Harry Kane. The SKX_1.5 signature style follows a year in which Kane won the 2024 Golden Boot as top scorer in Europe, and became the first English player to score 10 goals in a Champions League campaign. It is the brand’s first signature style boot.
The England captain and Bayern Munich player wore the boots for the first time at Bayern’s match against Augsburg on 4 April. Kane was the first football player signed up by Skechers when it made its initial foray into football boots in 2023.
“It’s been my dream since childhood to have my own signature boot,” Kane said. “I worked with the team at Skechers to make it personal, to make it a piece of my story. Every detail reflects what motivates me as a player – always wanting to improve and working hard to gain those pluses, those small percentages every day. I’m excited to share these boots. I hope people love them, feel confident when wearing them and appreciate the features that make these boots truly mine. Skechers Football has really delivered on comfort, too.”
The red and white boots feature Kane’s signature and embossed initials, with the colours a nod to his current teams, England and Bayern Munich, with the golden soleplate reflecting his golden boot award. The design also includes plus symbols, 36 of which are gold to recognise the 36 goals he scored during his debut season with Bayern Munich.
