Ludwigshafen, Germany -- BASF SE has appointed Wayne Smith as head of its polyurethanes business as part of a number of personnel changes at the company, BASF said 4 June.
Smith, president of BASF's catalysts business in Iselin, New Jersey, will take over from Jacques Delmoitiez, the current president of BASF Polyurethanes in Brussels, from 1 Sep 2010, the statement said.
Delmoitiez will become president of BASF's regional division Europe from 1 Oct 2010.
Frank Bozich will succeed Smith as head of BASF's catalysts division.
Walter Seufert, currently in charge of BASF's regional division Europe, will retire 30 Sep 2010, the statement added. (RD)
