Shropshire, UK - Smithers Rapra is to hold a seminar on 'Understanding Polyurethanes, their Formulations and Applications' in Cleveland, Ohio, 8-10 April 2008.
The seminar has been "hugely popular when held in the UK, attracting registrants from all over Europe and beyond, including the US," said a statement from Shawbury, Shropshire-based Smithers Rapra, a subsidiary of the US-based testing, consulting and contract research organisation, Smithers Group.
The Cleveland seminar will be organised together with Smithers Scientific Services of Akron, Ohio, and will benefit from the participation of Dave Russell, director of Polymer Services at SSS. Russell will handle CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers) uses, alongside Jim O'Connor, founder of SynUthane International Inc., of Connecticut, who will give presentations on polyurethane foams and the fundamental chemistry of polyurethanes.
The seminar will provide a comprehensive overview of polyurethane formulations, processing technologies, applications and markets in a modular format.
The seminar will be held at the Hyatt Regency at the Arcade Hotel in downtown Cleveland.
