Robinson said: 'I am very pleased that James has accepted our offer to be the editor, after a tough interview process. I have worked with James in the past, and I think that he will be excellent in the role.' Snodgrass will be only the fourth editor of the magazine since its launch in 1984.
Snodgrass is currently editor of Industrial Plant and Equipment magazine. Before that, he was the technology editor of European Plastics News, and has held a number of other positions in his 25-year career.
'Polyurethanes touch people's lives in so many ways, without many people even realising they are there,' Snodgrass said. 'They are the disruptive materials of modern manufacturing and construction. I am very excited at this opportunity to report on the sector, and on the businesses and technologies behind the materials. I'm looking forward to joining Crain Communications, and working with Simon.'
