California, US – Algenesis has been awarded a certified biobased product label by the US Department of Agriculture for its biodegradable Soleic TPU and polyol products.
The certified biocontent levels for the three TPUs are 59% for 1295A, 76% for 1270A and 56% for 1260D. The polyol LV-02 is 100% biobased.
“Achieving the USDA Certified Biobased Product Label is more than a recognition – it’s a clear signal to our customers that these materials are genuinely plant-based and renewable,” said Marissa Tessman, senior research scientist at Algenesis.
“This certification cuts through the noise of ambiguous sustainability claims, providing independent validation of our commitment to reducing fossil fuel reliance and advancing truly renewable solutions.”
