Fairfax, Virginia – The Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance’s Building Envelope Committee has upgraded its TechDoc on the use of spray polyurethane foam for exterior subgrade thermal and moisture.
The document, SPFA-140, addresses the application of closed-cell SPF on the exterior side of below-grade walls. The new version is an update of the original TechDoc, which was published in 2015. It covers design considerations, including equipment and materials, and how the products should be applied.
The update was put together by volunteer members of the SPFA-140 task group, including Mac Sheldon of Sheldon Consulting, Roger Morrison of Deer Ridge Consulting, Henri Fennell of HC Fennell Consulting, Jim Andersen of JA Consulting, and Steve Loftis of NCFI.
