New York -- Polyurethane sponge developer SpongeTech Delivery Systems Inc. has received an order worth $2.5 million from the US-based Asian Distribution Company (ADC). The shipment of 250 000 units will be distributed throughout Asia and Russia by ADC. "I am personally pleased with the order," said Steven Moskowitz, chief financial officer of SpongeTech Delivery Systems, in a 10 Aug statement. "This gives a continuing growth in the global market and the high demand we are looking for the company products," he added.SpongeTech Delivery Systems makes vehicle-cleaning products based on patented sponges containing hydrophilic (liquid-absorbing) foam polyurethane matrices. The sponges have an inner matrix loaded with specially formulated soaps and wax that are released when the sponge is applied to a surface with minimal pressure.SpongeTech is also exploring using this patented technology to develop other uses, for example with anti-bacterial, bath and kitchen soaps for household uses, and as a children's bath sponge."
