Washington, DC - The US Spray Foam Coalition says with the arrival of spring and the beginning of the home improvement season, it wants to educate homeowners about their energy-saving properties of spray polyurethane foam (SPF).
The coalition said that in addition to energy savings, SPF may help US homeowners qualify for tax credits, rebates and other incentives that can help offset renovation expenses.
"This insulation provides many benefits, including lower energy costs and a continuous seal that improves comfort by reducing air infiltration," said Peter Davis, chair of the Spray Foam Coalition, an organisation under the American Chemistry Council's Centre for the Polyurethanes Industry.
The coalition said to help enable informed choices when it comes to spray foam insulation, it wants homeowners to know more about the material, how it can be used and its environmental benefits.
