Anaheim, California – ASTM International is inviting papers for the forthcoming symposium in 2015 - Developing Consensus Standards for Measuring Chemical Emissions from Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) Insulation.
ASTM would like abstracts to be submitted by 30 May 2014.
Spray spray foam experts in the following areas are to submit an abstract on matters including:
- Research and method development for measuring potential SPF emissions of semi-volatile and volatile organic compounds used in the formulation (e.g. isocyanates, blowing agents, amine catalysts and flame retardants) and from potential reaction or byproducts.
- Federal and other governmental agencies' regulatory approaches and supporting investigation, assessment, and research needs
- Modelling, scaling up from lab to large scale chambers or buildings plus international perspectives on the spray foam regulation and emissions-testing and industry perspectives and product stewardship activities are also welcome, among other focuses.
