Sharjah, UAE – Mattress maker Spring Air has extended its licence agreement with Towell Mattress, which makes the mattresses in the UAE for customers in six countries in the region. The licence has been extended until 2035.
Towell has a 9300m2 (100,000ft2) facility in Sharjah that makes 1000 mattresses/day. These are sold to customers locally in the UAE, and also in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
“American products do very well in our region and are respected for style, comfort, and quality,” said David Nixon, CEO at Towell Mattress. “When we began with Spring Air years ago, they were the first to make pillowtop mattresses, never-turn mattresses and foam-encased products, which do exceptionally well in our market. They have been terrific partners, and we are thrilled to continue working together.”
Towell is one of a growing number of Spring Air licensees around the world, with its products now made in more than 40 countries. “Our licensees … take tremendous pride in selling our brand and the quality and craftsmanship they put into our products,” said Nick Bates, CEO of Massachusetts-based Spring Air. “We share best practices, and we welcome their ideas and recommendations on new products and marketing.”
