Manitoba, Indianapolis -- State Mix Ltd has released a new VM-200 VortexMix -- a smaller version of its line of vortex mixers ---- designed to process " significantly smaller quantities."
According to the company, the VM-200, which can be used in laboratories to mix silicones, polymers, epoxies, waxes, pigments and powered additives in 5 to 30 seconds, provides the same centrifugal force and high-speed precision mixing as its counterparts, which were designed for larger production facilities with mixing demands of up to 2.5 kg.
"We have been making polyurethane for 45 years now and the Vortex Mixer has been by far the best purchase we have ever made," said vice president of typical customer Prothane, Shawn McTear, in a 5 Feb statement.
"We can now produce better quality, more consistent product in less time," he added.
State Mix said that the new tabletop instrument, which is currently on trial in test labs and will on sale in the first quarter, is ideally suited for the rigorous demands of dental labs.
