Rickmansworth, UK - Stepan Europe has promoted Rob Sewell to the role of senior technical manager, European Polyols, a recent company statement said.
Sewell will manage all technical service activities to the company's Stepanol aromatic polyester polyols (APP) customers in Europe, Stepan said.
The company also said that Andy Bailey will be joining Stepan Europe as Technical Development Manager, European Polyols from 4 Jan 2010. Bailey has worked in the polyurethane industry for over 11 years, and will be focus on facilitating customers who are looking to switch to self-formulated PIR (polyisocyanurate) foam from systems within the rigid-faced panel industry, the statement added.
"The promotion of Rob Sewell to senior technical manager in our European Polyols business recognises the outstanding contribution Rob has brought in building the business over the past several years and in particular the expertise we have deployed in developing the flexible-faced laminate insulation board market," commented Roger Stubbs, European Polyols business director for Stepan Europe.
"Andy Bailey's appointment further strengthens our team in the key area of rigid panel formulation and process development where we continue to see increasing demand from manufacturers to develop their own formulations and intellectual property to better meet the specific needs of their processes and customers," Stubbs added.
