Gurten, Austria -- The latest technologies from the world of polyurethane were the focus at the German-Austrian Polyurethane Meeting of the FSK (Foam Plastics and Polyurethane Trade Association) at Fill Machine Engineering in Gurten.
Hosts Andreas Fill and Wolfgang Rathner, Fill's chief executives were pleased with the interest of the PU experts in the examples presented by Wilhelm Rupertsberger (manager of the Plastics Competence Center at Fill) on reinforced polyurethane components, as well as lightweight construction and hybrid applications made from wood and polyurethane.
Rolf Apfeld from the OCF foam can recycler PDR described potential new uses for PU recyclate. Using samples obtained from cooperation with Rampf Ecosystems, Apfeld showed recyclate used to make alpine skis and high-quality bathtubs with barrier-free, floor-level access.
