Carpintaria, California -- SuperSprings International says it has introduced new suspension enhancements for two of the most versatile vocational trucks on the US market.
Designated, SumoSprings, the company’s says the retrofits are like airless airbags, and are now available for the Ford F550 and Ram 5500.
The company works with Pleiger Plastics of Washington, Pennsylvania, to formulate viscoelastic polyurethane formulations that encapsulate vehicle springs. This is a more tolerant vehicle damping system than conventional rubber air bags which are fitted as standard, said Mike Visser, director, SuperSprings.
SuperSprings works in closely with Pleiger Plastics to modify polyurethane formulations to meet the suspension and space requirements that the different automotive models require, said Visser in a telephone conversation.
