Toronto, Ontario - Surfactant manufacturer Siltech Corp. has recently completed a $2-million expansion of its research and development facility at its site in Toronto.
A 25 Jan statement from the manufacturer of silicone surfactants and speciality silicones said the "expansion and upgrade of its research facility will enable Siltech to further exploit both its patented and proprietary technology."
The Canadian company will also be able to expand its joint development work with customers in "designing and creating silicones for their specific needs," Siltech added.
Siltech, which has offices in Toronto and Atlanta, Georgia, offers an extensive line of silicone surfactants, organo-modified silicones and reactable silicones. These are aimed at markets in polyurethane foam, personal care, inks and coatings, textile and other industrial areas.
This R&D expansion "will enable Siltech to continue to serve its growing worldwide market,"concluded the statement from president Dag Enhorning.
