Houston, Texas -- Sustainability and green issues will be in the spotlight at the Polyurethanes 2010 Technical Conference, scheduled for 11-13 Oct. in Houston.
The event is sponsored by the Arlington, Virginia-based Center for the Polyurethanes Industry, and is run together with the UTECH North America exhibition, organised by London-based Crain Communications Ltd.
"Sustainability is a key issue for us, and we will have entire sessions and numerous papers dedicated to showing how technological advances are helping manufacturers lower greenhouse gas emissions and make products more efficient," said Neeva-Gayle Candelori, director of the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry.
This year's conference will include presentations of more than 70 technical papers on the latest innovations in polyurethanes used in industries such as construction, appliances, automotive, footwear, furniture, bedding, and coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers.
