Wenzhou, Zhejiang – Polyurethane machinery maker Suten launched a new shoe sole moulding machine in April 2014.
The launch followed three years’ research and a year's trial run with a local shoe manufacturing company, said Suten.
Designated PUZ-805, it has a maximum daily output of 10,560 pairs and is said to be able to lower the cost by over RMB0.5 ($0.1) per pair compared to conventional machines.
The machine reduces the manpower needed for equipment operation by 80%, said Suten adding that the model's maintenance cycles are three times longer than old models.
It features a temperature controller to allow for adaptation to different PU materials and feedstock can be stored in the tank for at least 15 days without deterioration.
The new machine is currently only sold in China but the company negotiating contracts with South American clients with the view to exporting from mid-2014, said the firm’s sales manager Gao Lei.
