Rae, Estonia -- Swedish mattress maker Hilding Anders has expanded its plant in Rae, 8km (5 miles) south of Tallinn in northern Estonia.
Hilding Andres said it has added a 7,000 m2 production and storage facility was to the factory which makes PU mattresses.
"We are expanding our business in Estonia, our goal is to become the Scandinavian know-how centre for the Hilding Anders group where we will offer our customers services from product development to manufacture,” said Janek Haud, the Estonian plant’s manager, as quoted by local news site Baltic-Course.com.
The investment is estimated to be worth some EUR 4m, and it brought the factory’s total productive area to 22,000 m2. Construction work on the project was carried out by local company Kawe.
The new facility comprises a production hall of 3,000 m2, and a 4,000 m2 warehouse, according to the firm.
