Dalton, Georgia – Polyurethane-backed synthetic grass firm Synlawn has joined the Green Business Bureau. This international membership organisation uses an online assessment and third-party verification to certify green businesses.

Synlawn’s US-made bio-based products are 100% recyclable, with renewable and recycled materials used during the manufacturing process, the firm said.
The EnviroLoc backing system, which locks in durable turf fibres and prevents shedding, is engineered with BioCel bio-based polyurethane technology from Universal Textile Technology. The company claims its artificial lawns can reduce carbon footprints by eliminating emissions from lawn equipment, and they lower the impact on landfill sites because of a long life expectancy.
The products also facilitate water conservation, and can contribute points to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) project certification.
“Synlawn is pleased to have our business certified by the Green Business Bureau. Environmental stewardship is one of our core values, which is reflected in our practices,” said George Neagle, vice-president of sales and marketing. “We are proud to offer premium synthetic grass that is environmentally friendly in its application and through the manufacturing process.”
