London - Wound management company Systagenix is unveiling its new corporate identity at the 2009 European Wound Management Association (EWMA) meeting in Helsinki, Finland, this week to an audience of more than 2000 healthcare practitioners
"Connecting with our customers is paramount to our success and we wanted to communicate this within our corporate identity" said Systagenix's ceo Steve Atkinson, in a company statement. "We know our customers are looking for products that provide the desired results and outcomes for their patients. Systagenix is that company - offering a comprehensive wound care solutions portfolio based on research and clinical evidence."
The company is also hosting two symposia at EWMA. The first meeting, "Evidence: In vitro, In vivo, In practice" will analyse how the most innovative woundcare products can help clinicians provide the best solutions for their patients. The second is on "Antimicrobial silver treatments: how to measure their effectiveness?"
Systagenix's wide range of woundcare products includes hydropolymer dressings based on self-adhesive polyurethane foams. Such foam dressings can handle different levels of exudates to reduce wound maceration.
Other products include activated charcoal dressings with silver for trapping and killing bacteria and eliminating odours. Systagenix also offers anti-microbial alginate dressings to help manage infection and exudates.
