Cangzhou, Hebei - TDI and fertiliser maker Dahua's 135kT/year nitric acid plant in Cangzhou, Hebei province had a successful trial run on 16 November.
The project started in September 2013 and has an RMB257m ($41m) total investment. The new facility can further ensure the safety of its raw material supply and create a complete TDI chain, according to the company's announcement and Cangzhou government's website.
Dahua reported an RMB102m net loss on a 12% drop in revenue to RMB2.4bn in Q1-Q3 2014. China's largest TDI maker is taking a strategy switch to expand its presence along the chain in tough climate.
