Anderson, South Carolina - US Composites manufacturer TechFab llc, which was taken over last year by the French manufacturer Groupe Chomarat, has now changed its name to Chomarat North America, llc.
From 3 Jan 2008, Chomarat North America said, it will consolidate both TechFab and Rovicore llc into a single commercial entity. Bruce Hinton, former vice president and general manager of TechFab, is now president of Chomarat North America.
Groupe Chomarat, of Mariac, France, bought Hexcel Reinforcements' 50 percent share of TechFab in January 2007.
Chomarat's statement said the recent name change is consistent with its long-term strategy "to continue to increase business in the global reinforcement industry by providing unique solutions to customer needs, coupled with outstanding customer focus and service."
Chomarat North America plans to expand the market for its innovative products, such as a revolutionary carbon fibre grid.
Headquartered in Anderson, Chomarat North America manufactures Rovicore, a patented reinforcement complex for composites, among other reinforcement products for composites.
Chomarat is also expert in fabric and textile coating, using thermoplastic polyurethanes and thermoplastic olefins.
