Lexington, Kentucky -- Tempur-Pedic International Inc. and Sealy Corp. said that they received a request 30 Nov for additional information and documentary materials from the US Federal Trade Commission regarding Tempur-Pedic's proposed acquisition of Sealy.
The information request, known as a 'second request,' was issued under notification requirements of the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, mattress and pillow maker Tempur said in a statement.
Tempur and bedding products manufacturer Sealy still expect the transaction to close during the first half of 2013.
