Lexington, Kentucky - Mattress and pillow maker Tempur-Pedic International Inc. has introduced the all-new Tempur Traditional Pillows and will use new textiles for its pillow collection.
The Tempur-Traditional Pillows will be available in three levels of firmness to meet the personal preferences of a broad range of consumers. They will use improved textiles and cover designs. Extensive research into what consumers want from a pillow, including how they look and feel, guided these product developments, says the Lexington, Kentucky-based group.
"Our consumer research teams brought qualitative and quantitative learnings to drive this redesign," said Rick Anderson, president of Tempur-Pedic North America, in the company's 1 Aug statement.
Tempur says its pillows helped introduce the unique benefits of pressure-relieving Tempur material - a viscoelastic polyurethane foam -- to millions of consumers. A survey in 2010 found that 68 percent of Tempur-Pedic pillow owners said their experience with their pillow influenced their mattress purchase decision.
