Lexington, Kentucky – Tempur-Sealy stopped production of springs for inner-spring mattresses with sale of the business to Leggett & Platt in a deal announced in early July.
The deal sees Leggett & Platt buy three production facilities, equipment and associated working capital for around $48m. No further financial details were disclosed.
Tempur Sealy International ceo Mark Savary said the deal would allow his firm to “provide significantly greater flexibility for our product development.”
