Lexington, Kentucky – Scott Thompson is to remain chairman, CEO and president of Tempur Sealy until the end of 2026. He has been in the role since September 2015.
Tempur Sealy extends CEO Thompson’s contract
‘The Board of Directors is very pleased to extend Scott’s tenure, and felt that during the current, ever-changing operating environment, it is critical to maintain continuity in executive leadership,’ said Richard Neu, the board’s lead director.
Since Thompson took the helm, the company’s earnings per share has grown at a compounded annual rate of about 50%, and its Sealy and Tempur-Pedic brands have become the top-two best-selling brands in the US bedding market.
In recent months, while sales have been up, pricing and logistics have hit the company’s margins.
