Lexington, Kentucky – Tempur Sealy’s sales in Q2 2016 were $804 m (EUR721 m), up 5.2% on the $764.4 m reported in Q2 2015.
North American net sales for Q2 2016 were 6% higher at $668 m than the $630 m the firm reported in Q2 2015. International net sales in Q2 2016 were $136 m, which was 7.6% higher than Q2 2015 on a constant currency basis, said the firm.
Overall income before income taxes was reported at $29.2m in Q2 2016. That figure was $29.3m in the 2015 quarter.
The firm’s adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) for Q2 2016 was reported as $124.7m, a rise of nearly 40% on the $90.3m reported in Q2 2015.
An increase in sales revenue during the first half of 2016 was credited to new product introductions in North America.
The report said net sales for H1 2016 increased 1.4% to $1.52 bn compared to $1.50 bn in H1 2015. Gross profit for H1 2016 was reported at $627.9m, a rise of 9% on H1 2015, according to the report.
For the full year 2016, Tempur Sealy said it “currently expects adjusted EBITDA to range from $525 m to $550 m,” according to the report.
