Lexington Kentucky — Tempur Sealy International sales fell 4.6% in the first half of 2018 to $ 1.32 bn. Sales in the first half of 2017 were $1.38 bn.
In the second quarter, sales were up 1.6% to $670m. This compares with $659m in the equivalent 2017 quarter.
In North America, in the second quarter of 2018 Tempur Sealy sold $528 m worth of products. This is almost unchanged from $525 m in the second quarter of 2017. The company said that the increase would have been higher, but raw material price inflation offset its own increased selling prices, and operational efficiencies.
