Los Angeles, California – Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) is a key component of an after-market solution that adds wireless charging capability to the Tesla Model 3. Tesla Wireless Pad, a group of non-Tesla engineers and designers developed the product.

The product features a non-slip TPU coating. It will work with any Qi enabled phone, including the iPhone 8 and X, and multiple Samsung Galaxy models.
‘Thanks to the design, the ridges and the texture work together to absorb shock, all while maintaining your phone’s positioning,’ the company says.
The Wireless Pad works with the Tesla’s front USB ports. Up to two phones can be charged at once. The charger is both FCC and CE compliant.
The Model 3 product will be available in April. The team is also working on versions for the Model S and Model X cars.
