Dalton, Georgia -- Textile Rubber & Chemical Co. is setting up a new polymers group within the company, to be called the "TR Polymers Group," uniting three previously separate divisions. These are the Polymer Technology Group (Latex Chemicals), the Polyurethane Group (Polyurethane Chemicals and Backings Systems) and the ThermoTex Group (Thermoplastic Polymers and Coatings).
This change will take effect 1 Jan 2013, reports The Chattanoogan.
Textile Rubber & Chemical Co. is a diversified, multinational manufacturer, primarily active in latex and polyurethane compounds for woven and nonwoven carpet backing.
President Chip Howalt told the newspaper that the move will give the company a clearer focus and path to its customers.
Mark Cline, currently vice president and general manager of the Polyurethane Group, will have the same role for the new group.
Set up in 1951, Textile Rubber and Chemical Co., headquartered in Dalton, has business on five continents, and plants throughout the world.
