Glen Ellyn, Illinois-The Thermoset Resin Formulators Association (TRFA) invites the submission of Technical Papers for presentation at the association's 2006 Annual Meeting to be held 10-12 September at the Hyatt Regency Montreal, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. These presentations are essential to meeting one of the association's key objectives, which is to be "the premier forum to interact and exchange knowledge among formulators and suppliers," a statement from the TRFA explained. The 2006 Annual Meeting schedule will include at least three technical paper presentations from each of TRFA's Market Focused Product Groups: Coatings, Civil Engineering and Floorings; Adhesives and Sealants; Composites and Tooling; Potting, Encapsulation and Electrical; and Non-Epoxy.Technical Papers are chosen based on their technical content, the timeliness of the subject, and relevance to TRFA members and the industry. Attendees at the 2005 Annual Meeting enjoyed 13 technical paper presentations. Persons interested in submitting a Technical Paper for consideration should contact the association at Tel: +1 (630) 942-6596 or by EMail: [email protected] to request a Technical Paper Packet for the 2006 Annual Meeting. The association's Market-Focused Committees were designed by TRFA's Strategic Plan to identify and meet the specific needs of their particular market segments. They support the TRFA mission, to "serve the needs of thermoset resin formulators and suppliers and help them achieve their goals by providing a forum for sharing and interaction. TRFA's Regulatory Affairs Committee was established to meet its objective to "Monitor, report on, and influence as necessary, pertinent regulation and legislation affecting our members." TRFA's Annual Meeting schedule also includes the meetings of its Market-focused committees, a Tabletop exhibition, and a General business session, as well as unmatched opportunities for informal networking with industry peers. In addition to annual meetings, TRFA members benefit from industry-specific programming, access to Formulator and Supplier Market Trend Information, additional Internet visibility for members companies with links from the TRFA member list to member websites, quarterly newsletters, a Members-Only section on the TRFA website with access to a member address book, access to previous Technical Papers, a list of Testing Standards for TRFA, minutes and other TRFA-specific information, important and timely regulatory updates affecting material suppliers and formulators, and the opportunity to deepen established industry and professional relationships and develop new ones with industry participants who can provide information on issues of common concern.TRFA is comprised of thermoset formulators, raw material suppliers, distributors, equipment manufacturers, manufacturer sales representatives of materials or equipment, importers of raw materials or processing or other equipment, consulting firms and academic institutions serving industries which include adhesives, coatings, civil engineering applications, electrical laminates, composites, tooling, castings and moldings.
