Abu Dhabi, UAE -- Tiger Profiles and Insulation (TPI), a member of the Tiger Group, was recently awarded a design and install contract for the walls and roofs of new exhibition halls for the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).
TPI, based in the United Arab Emirates, first had to prove it had adequate strength and capabilities to handle a project of such magnitude and within an extremely tight schedule, said the Middle Eastern construction supplier.
The company was then appointed subcontractor to design and install the roof and walls for new exhibition halls in the expansion of the Dubai World Trade Center.
The DWTC job has a roof area of about 31 000 sq.m and a wall area of about 12 000 sq.m.
The roof will be put together using TPI's insulated T Seam standing seam solution. This will be paired with a specially designed wall cladding composed of concealed fix micro-ribbed polyurethane injected panels, said the group, in a 20 July statement.
Earlier this year the UAE company completed a new multi-million Euro plant in Abu Dhabi (2) industrial city in Mussafah, to make polyurethane sandwich panels. At the time, TPI said the plant was the largest of its kind in the Gulf region.
