Retford, UK -- Trelleborg is building a new facility, which it is designating a Centre of Excellence (COE) in Retford, England.
Trelleborg’s new facility will be 7,225m2 (77,765ft2) and will consolidate the activity of the firm’s four current UK sites. These include the Retford facility, plus two sites in Coventry and another in Knaresborough.
The firm’s vp of media relations Karin Larsson said: “The manufacturing facility will be constructed using lean manufacturing principles including elimination of waste, continuous improvement, just in time production and a focus on environmental efficiency.”
The facility is due for completion before the end of 2016.
