Turkey's Cihan adds closed-cell spray foam
“Immediately after the [launch] of our new [product line], we obtained requests from a number of countries, such as Denmark, the Netherlands, Egypt and Lithuania,” Huseyin Bulgur, the company’s general manager, told local business daily Dunya.
The company’s new PU insulation sprays, marketed as Izotup Foam, will allow customers to enhance the energy efficiency of buildings, according to Bulgur.
“Unlike open cell spray, cellulose, or fiberglass insulation, Izotup Foam’s closed cell insulation is practically waterproof,” the company said.
Cihan Poliuretan is based in Kayseri, in central Turkey, and operates a production facility located in Bursa, in the country’s west, south of Istanbul, across the Sea of Mamara. The plant has capacity to make about 30 m unit/year, according to Bulgur. The firm’s general manager said that this year the new product line could take his firm’s total revenue to US$25m (€22.8m).
