Kazinbarcika, Hungary -- As part of the integration of Hungarian isocyanates producer BorsodChem Zrt into its new Chinese owner, Wanhua Industrial Group Co. Ltd, BorsodChem said it will consolidate the sales and marketing divisions of the Polyurethanes and PVC/Chloralkali business.
As part of this reorganisation, Rik de Vos, former head of the Business Management Polyurethanes and Vladimir Karkoska, the former head of the Business Unit PVC will leave to pursue other career opportunities.
The integration will be led by Eugene Wu from Wanhua Industrial Group, previously president of Asia Pacific for Greif Inc.
Wanhua became the sole owner of BorsodChem, 31 Jan 2011.
Expressing his gratitude to de Vos and Karkoska for their contributions in the past, and especially during the financial restructuring, Dr Wolfgang Büchele, ceo of BorsodChem added, "We are confident that Wanhua and BorsodChem's global integration effort will bring us greater success in the future."
According to Wanhua, the changes will enable BorsodChem to realign its global resources to serve its customers in a more focused and stronger way with enhanced services.
Wanhua-owned BorsodChem also said it is aiming in the near future, to "make significant improvements in product quality and customer service," along with its capacity increase in TDI (toluene diisocyanate) and MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate).
This, the group said, will demonstrate "solid market leadership as one of the world's largest isocyanate suppliers."
