Cleveland, Ohio – Lubrizol is developing a new range of TPU materials for 3D printing. It plans to make the material profiles available via desktop 3D printing specialist Ultimaker’s marketplace.
The new soft TPU materials have high heat resistance and print quickly. The company says they complement its existing commercial Estane 3D TPU portfolio.
David Pascual, global 3DP marketing manager at Lubrizol, said that making material profiles available through Ultimaker's programme will strengthen its ecosystem. ‘The market will enjoy a very appealing TPU portfolio, while we learn together how to serve our customers and the market,’ he said.
Ultimaker’s product manager for materials, Bart van As, is happy that Lubrizol is creating TPU materials for its marketplace. 'We are excited to see which applications these engineered materials will unlock,’ he said.
