London - Following the success of the pilot north American issue of Urethanes Technology International at the UTECH North America 2007 exhibition and conference in Orlando, Florida, the magazine's publisher, Crain Communications Ltd, is adding four editions focussed on the North American market to its 2009 schedules.
The four North American editions, to be edited by David Reed - the founding editor of Urethanes Technology magazine in 1986 through until his partial retirement in 2006 - will comprise a mix of technical articles, market features and reports, as well as the usual in-depth reporting of commercial and technical developments in the fast-moving North American market.
"These four issues will complement the continuing six-times-a-year efforts of Urethanes Technology International magazine, while allowing broader and deeper coverage of the business in the Americas," said Paul Mitchell, publisher, Crain Communications Ltd in London.
Crain, which already produces two of the leading North American polymer publications in the industry, namely Plastics News and Rubber and Plastics News, as well as major industry publications such as Automotive News, Tire Business and Waste News, will call on its considerable resources in the region to allow even greater coverage of the largest polyurethanes market in the world, the company said.
Crain also announced that, again to complement the efforts of Urethanes Technology International, two specific issues of the North American publication will report on the global polyurethane processing machinery business and the latest developments in the automotive sector, in Spring and Autumn, respectively.
Urethanes Technology North America will be printed and dispatched in America, "ensuring the publication will be delivered on a timely basis to over 6000 polyurethane specialists in both North and South America," said Crain.
