Washington, DC – The number of building permits issued in the first six months of 2019 was down by 5.16% at 7.71 m. In the first six months of 2018 a total of 8.13 m were issued.
A total of 1.23m permits were issued in June 2019 This is 420,000 less than in June 2018. It equates to a 5.67% fall compared with June 2018
The figures from the United States Census Bureau relate to the seasonally adjusted total number of New Residential Construction Permits.
